Radio News
Radio News was a magazine based in the United States that was established in July 1919 as Radio Amateur News and had its title shortened to Radio News a year later, July 1920. The magazine was founded by Hugo Gernsback, who was an enthusiastic supporter of amateur radio and had a history with radio and electronics as he had a company selling radio and electronics and several magazines explaining their use.
In 1929, an involuntary bankruptcy
petition against Experimenter Publishing Company Corporation, which was the
publishing company for Radio News, saw the last issue of Radio News under Hugo
as the editor.
In June 1930, the company became
Radio-Science Publications. Arthur H Lynch had to drop his forecasting of things
position to come design, manage and run the radio equipment for Radio-Science
Publications in the same year.
In August 1931, Radio-Science
Publications released their last issue. Teck Publishing Corporation, a new
entity, took over operations of the formerly Radio-Science Publication from
September 1931. Laurence Cockaday took over as the new editor.
