Fluke Scopemeter 190-504 S Portable Oscilloscope

Being one of the fundamental and most used instruments, oscilloscopes have many advantages over traditional optical multimeters. The basic difference is that DMMs can only calculate instantaneous reading. However, there is a need to get deep insights into a component's functioning over a certain period of time in several instances. They are also used in an electronic device's troubleshooting and debugging. Although oscilloscopes appear to measure voltage only but can provide a number of parameters such as peak-to-peak levels, RMS values, frequency, and phase timing parameters, there are several other measurement forms that can be calculated, as you can see in later sections of this article.

The fluke portable handheld device with four-channel and up to 500MHz allows a faster sample rate and is capable of capturing unknown waveforms on display.

TESTS and EXPERIMENTS:

Probe Settings And Input Channel Selection:

To select a probe, follow the steps below:

1-      Display the input A key labels and open them.

2-      Select the probe type as Current, Voltage, or Temperature.

3-      To select the input channel, select from A, B, C, or D, and then the respective channel will switch ON.

Displaying Unknown Signal:

To display unknown signal onto the screen, use the following steps:

1-      Use the AUTO feature, and the signal will appear on the screen.

2-      Alternatively, manual selection can be made by pressing the AUTO button again.

3-      Use arrow keys to select RANGE, TIME, and MOVE.

Automatic Scope Measurements:

1-      Use the SCOPE label.

2-      Navigate to the READING menu and select the reading number to be displayed.

3-      Each reading number is associated with a different measurement. Select accordingly.

Acquiring Waveforms:

1-      Display SCOPE label keys.

2-      Open the WAVEFORM OPTIONS menu and select” Acquisition”.

3-      Select from FAST, FULL, or NORMAL options.

4-      Exit the menu.

Reversing Waveform Polarity:

1-      Select INPUT A key label and open it.

2-      Select INVERTED and accept the inverted waveform.

3-      Exit the menu.
