Ground or earth, typically between
an electrical circuit and the earth, is a conducting link. Earth grounding is a
connection to a ground electrode or surface situated in the earth from a
circuit conductor, typically the neutral one. Grounding of equipment guarantees
accurate grounding of functioning equipment or a circuit.
Fluke GEO earth ground tester is a
unique and powerful tool that is calibrated according to industrial standards. This
tool helps test the ground spots that are hard to reach, are indoors, and fully
paved.
Unique
Features:
This tool allows you to measure the earth's
ground loop resistance with only clamps. Earlier tools are needed to disconnect
and then reconnect to electrodes from the system.
It uses only two clamps placed
around the ground rods and are connected back to the device.
An advanced feature, Automatic
Frequency Control (AFC) identifies and detects current distortion and
determines a frequency of measurement to mitigate its effect, providing a more
precise ground value for the earth.
The Fluke 1625-2 provides up to 1500
records with internal memory storage.
Accessible via the USB port for fast
data transfer and results viewing
TESTS:
The most useful and liked feature
about the Fluke 1625-2 GEO Ground test is that it allows all four types of
ground tests as follows:
·
3- and 4-pole fall-of-potential, earth resistance loop testing
·
4-pole soil resistivity testing
·
Single clamp GND rod testing
·
Double clamp GND rod testing
Earthing Ground Resistance Measurement:
Using
this tool earth system resistance can be measured along with the geological
soil stratum resistivity.
3-Pole & 4-Pole
Measurement of Earthing Resistance
The following steps are involved in
3 Pole/ 4 Pole measurements of earthing resistance.
1-
Turn the knob to “RE 3pole” or “Re 4pole” and wire the device
according to the instructions on display.
2-
Press “Start Button” and the automated tests will proceed, and
results will be displayed on the screen.
3-
Readout measurement RE.
4-
Using menu, readout values of RS and RH.s.
