that can measure multiple electrical properties are called a multimeter.
Typically a multimeter can measure resistance, voltage and, current and can
also be referred to as a volt-ohm milli-ammeter (VOM).
There are two major types of multimeters. The analog multimeter which uses a
microammeter with a moving pointer for displaying readings, or the digital
multimeters (DVOM, DMM), which has numeric displays and has made analog
