This proving
unit comes pre-calibrated and is used to test instruments working with DC ad AC
voltages. The device is compatible with both AC and DC supplies and can measure
up to 240 volts. The device provides a fix 240 volts to the equipment and ensures
the device under test is exactly calibrated at 240 volts. The device is also
extremely useful in detecting and removing the extra voltages which lead to
hazardous situations.
Features:
Ø Supplies 240 V DC/AC
Ø Single LED Indicates Functionality
Ø High Impedance Or Low Impedance
Compatible Testing Devices.
Ø Accidental Contact Avoids Feature
Through Recessed Contact
Ø Long Battery Life
The "Test Before Touch"
(TBT) definition or three-point test method involves measuring your device
before and after the actual measurement against a known live source. Compared
to verification of research instruments on high-energy sources in potentially
dangerous electrical settings, the use of the PRV240 decreases the possibility
of shock and arc flash since the PRV240 produces a defined voltage in a
regulated, low-current condition in compliance with safe work practices.
AC/DC
Measurement:
To test
the device with following the steps below:
1- Power On
The Device.
2- Turn The
Switch To AC Or DC Depending Upon The Application Under Test.
3- Place The
Leads Into Positive And Negative Terminals Into The Device.
4- If The LED
Turns Green, The Device Under Test Is Calibrated.
