Fluke 325 True RMS Clamp Meter
Fluke 325 is a convenient device that
comes with various options, including the AC and DC voltage and current,
resistance, and frequency measurements. The device has the following specifications:
AC Current: 40A-400A
DC Current: 40A-400A
AC Voltage: 600V
DC Voltage: 600V
Resistance: up to 40k Ohms
Temperature: -10 to 400 degree Celsius
Frequency: 5-500Hz
Capacitance: 100-1000uF
AC Response: True RMS
Experiments:
Continuity
Test: Plug the probes into the meter and rotate the knob to the buzzer
symbol. Now connect the two probes, and a beep sound can be heard. This shows
the device is in calibration.
Resistance
Measurement: plug the probes into the conductor after turning the knob to the resistance
symbol. The device measures the resistance and displays reading on display. The
reading is adjusted automatically, and depending on the range, a symbol “k”
appears on display to represent the kilo-ohm readings.
Voltage
Measurement: To measure the
voltage turn the knob to the voltage symbol and connect the probes to the conductor.
The meter sets the range, and the display shows the reading.
Current Measurement: The current can be measured using the clamp, pass the
single conductor through the clamp, and set the knob to the current position.
The meter used the electromagnetic induction procedure to determine the
current, auto sets the range, and displays the reading onto the display.
